What information we collect and why
Your IP Address
Our web server automatically collects some information about your computer when you visit our site. One bit of information that we need is your “IP address,” a unique number that is used by computers on the Internet to identify your computer so that web pages and graphics can be sent to you. IP addresses are usually dynamic, meaning you’re assigned a different one by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) each time you connect to the Internet. Cookies
In order for Stephens Outdoor Railways to remember your shopping cart information, we place a small piece of text, called a “cookie,” on your hard drive. This stores a little information about how you use our site, and lets us customize your next visit to our site. This “cookie” is stored on your computer where it can only be retrieved by us at a later time. This is how our site remembers you from visit to visit,. Cookies make our site much more convenient for you.
Mailing List
If you’d like to be on the Stephens Outdoor Railways
mailing list, naturally we need your contact information to send information
about our sales and new products. When you sign up for the mailing list, we
request some demographic information about you, such as your favorite scale — it
is completely optional information that we use to help decide what kinds of
products we should inform you of. We do not share our mailing list with anyone
else PERIOD. If you’d like to be removed from our mailing list, call Stephens

Ordering
Stephens Outdoor Railways uses an order form (shopping cart) for customers to purchase products. Obviously, in order to ship your purchases, we collect your contact and shipping information as well as financial information (we use PayPal). Financial information collected by PayPal is used to bill you for products. We do not merge this information with our mailing list. All information is kept on secure servers and protected from fraudulent use.
We accept the following credit cards thru the PayPal service.
